Architect Services

Cityproof regularly works with architects, interior designers and acoustical consultants to design soundproofing and thermal window solutions.

How We Work with Architects

Detail Drawings

Elevation & cross-section detail drawings in AutoCAD, DWG & PDF for easy incorporation into your plans. Manufacturing and installation specs in Word or PDF for use in preparing project documentation & submittals.

Design Services

Custom design services to assist in developing and recommending the type of system, including glass selection, for the particular application.

Shop Drawings

Shop drawings can be provided prior to fabrication.

Pre-Approval

Landmarks Preservation Commission approval is typically not required because the interior windows “mirror” the look of the existing exterior windows.

How our soundproofing system works

Our custom-designed and manufactured Citiwindows are installed on the inside and work in conjunction with your existing exterior windows to create a buffer zone of airspace that seals out loud city noises.

Watch our quick video below to see how our system works:

Cityproof can provide information regarding STC values and insulation values for our products. For further reading, our glass partner Saflex has created a comprehensive overview of acoustical glass performance. See pages 19-23 in the Saflex Acoustical Guide for assembly solutions like the Cityproof system, which includes interior laminated glass windows featuring a PVB layer, an air space, and the existing exterior window.

Typical Solutions

Below are our most common window styles along with photos and schematics. Click below to view details on each style.
